Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana is set to seal a season-long loan transfer from Manchester United to Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor after weeks of speculations, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 29-year-old shot-stopper joined the Red Devils from Inter Milan two years ago, in a deal worth €50.2 million, but things have not gone well for him at the club.
Onana was expected to be a key player for Manchester due to his impressive displays with the Nerazzurri, as he reached the final of the Champions League the year he moved to England.
But his time has been riddled with errors. He has cost the former Premier League champions on several occasions. Unfortunately for him, the team as a whole has not been doing well.
Since Ruben Amorim arrived at Manchester United last year, there has been a massive clear out, with players like Antony, Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, and Jadon Sancho and many others leaving.
Over the last few weeks, there have been talks that Onana could join that train. And now, it has been confirmed that he will be with Trabzonspor until the end of the season.

The former Super Lig champions are looking to challenge for the league title, and Onana might rediscover himself there.
Interestingly, at Trabzon, Onana will get to play with some Nigerian players.
Andre Onana’s New Nigerian Teammates
At Trabzonspor, Andre Onana will have two Super Eagles teammates - Anthony Nwakaeme and Paul Onuachu.

Both players are highly rated at the club. Nwakaeme was key in their league success three years ago. The club even built a statue of the 36-year-old attacker to appreciate him for his performances.

The second Nigerian player Onuachu, just joined the club for his second stint after playing for them two seasons ago.
The Super Eagles striker joined them in a deal worth €5.7 million, and the club expects him to deliver goals consistently.
The two Super Eagles stars will look to connect well with Onana, as he will be the fifth African at the club.
