According To Our Reporter, factional National Chairman of the NNPP, Agbo Major, has made explosive revelations about what he described as the collapse of internal democracy within the party in Kano State. Watch full report

Speaking on Arise News, Major accused a former party leader of exercising overwhelming control by allegedly handpicking 44 local government chairmen and dozens of lawmakers without consulting stakeholders.

“Somebody single-handedly selected forty-four LG chairmen and many lawmakers without any stakeholder input,” he said, warning that such actions destroyed trust and alienated party members at the grassroots.

Major stressed that political structures can only survive when members are carried along in decision-making, noting that the concentration of power in one individual’s hands triggered resentment, internal resistance, and defections.

He added that recent political developments in Kano show that leadership imposed without consensus is unsustainable and bound to crumble.
