Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has opened up on how surviving cancer has changed her as she turns 40 today.
The movie star shared gorgeous photos of herself, revealing that her new milestone was something she felt was far out of reach. Osoba said she has walked through fear, pain, uncertainty, and nights that felt endless, but she is still here, stronger, softer, wiser, and incredibly grateful.
She shared how surviving cancer changed her, as it has taught her how precious life is, how fragile moments can be, and how powerful hope truly is. She said she carries the scars, but also carries the lessons, the courage she never knew she had, the love that held her together, and the quiet strength that kept whispering to her.
Temitope added that she is celebrating life in a way she never had before, embracing the breath, the sunrise, second chances, and the beauty of simply being alive.

Months back, in an interview on Oyinmomo TV, Temitope opened up on her battle with cancer, revealing that doctors told her she wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications she had to take. Temitope said hearing that broke her down as she noted how she was 38 and had to wait till her 40s before conceiving.
Recall that in February, last year, in an interview with her colleague, Biola Bayo, Temitope recounted a traumatizing moment of sexual assault by her uncle after she moved to her grandmother’s house. This affected her career to some extent and she suffered depression because of her inability to make ends meet.
Following her emotional interview, Biola Bayo announced the return of Temitope to the movie industry. She appealed to movie directors, producers, and production managers to send scripts to her as she is fully back on her feet. She appealed to them to remember her when casting and to give her support.
In November, of that year, her senior colleague, Foluke Daramola revealed that Tope had gone through breast surgery as she appreciated the public for their assistance and called for more.
During her birthday in December, Tope had received a car from an anonymous Nigerian. Foluke shared a video of the moment she surprised her with the car. An overjoyed Tope Osoba broke down in tears as she appreciated Foluke for her support.
