Huawei Mate XT rumors: More colors, price tag, charging speeds & more

Huawei’s tri-fold smartphone is coming tomorrow, and a handful of new rumors and information surfaced recently. The Huawei Mate XT could arrive in more colors, while its price tag has also been tipped, along with some specs.

The Huawei Mate XT colors, price tag, and some specs tipped

Let’s start from the top. Regarding colors, Huawei confirmed only one thus far, the red one with gold accents. Three additional colors did surface on Weibo, though Huawei did not share them directly.

If you check out the gallery below, you’ll see all four colors in one place. Green, Dark Gray and White color variants also got tipped. We’re not sure how legit are those leaks, but here they are.

It is also worth noting that the phone, up until now, received over 2.8 million reservations in China. It is expected to go on sale on September 19, 10 days after its launch.

Now, in regards to its price and some specs. Based on a leak from China, the phone will cost CNY19,000 ($2,671). Considering initial predictions of $4,000, this does seem like considerably less, but it’s still a lot of money, needless to say.

An 8,700mAh battery will allegedly be included

The Huawei Mate XT is also tipped to include an 8,700mAh battery. If that’s true, we’re not sure how Huawei managed to fit it on the inside, but there you go. Some additional spec details were mentioned too.

The device is tipped to support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. On top of that, the IPX8 water resistance rating is also expected. If the company managed to pull all that off here, it would be quite impressive.

Huawei did officially announce that the phone will launch in China on September 10. It could launch in global markets, but we still don’t have any information on that. If it does, it will be coming later this year or next year.
