Famous Nigerian gospel artiste, Sola Allyson, has opened up about her marriage, revealing that she does not live with her husband.
In a candid interview on Oyinmomo TV, the 54-year-old singer, known for her hit album Eji Owuro, disclosed that while she is still married, she and her husband live separately.
“I’m married, but I’m not in my husband’s house. We live separately,” she shared, as she spoke openly about her love life and marital experience.
During the interview, Allyson reflected on her love life, revealing that despite her success in music and relationships, she has never experienced the kind of happiness that many people associate with love and marriage.
Asked about her song Eji Owuro and whether she experienced genuine love from her husband, she responded honestly, saying, “We lied before. Those older than us didn’t inform us that it’s tough. They made us believe that so long as you both love each other, you will live happily ever after, but it’s a lie.”
Allyson further explained that her experience did not align with the fairy tale narrative many expect from marriage. “That’s not the experience I have. I didn’t have the experience of living happily ever after. I did all I could to make it work,” she added.
