Nigerian comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, better known as Mr Jollof, has broken his silence following an altercation with Very Dark Man on a flight.
Kemi Filani reported that the two had engaged in a physical fight onboard a commercial flight, reportedly travelling from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos. The two were captured in a viral video trading blows inside the United Nigeria Airlines flight.
Confirming the altercation, VDM, via his Facebook page, boasted that he had “dealt with” Mr Jollof. In a follow-up footage, he lifted his shirt to display bite marks on his chest, as he threw shots at Jollof.
Now, breaking his silence, Mr Jollof, in a video posted on his Instagram page, tendered a public apology to the NCAA, United Nigeria Airlines, and the passengers onboard the flight.
He also apologised to his wife, kids, and boss, noting that he isn’t a violent person and was only defending himself.
“I want to use this medium to sincerely apologise to any NCAA, United Nigeria Airlines, and the passengers that boarded the airline. I was only defending myself. You guys saw what happened, and I am very sorry if I delayed your appointment. Pardon me. This isn’t my kind of person. It will never happen again.
To my lovely wife, I know you’re proud of me. To my kids, I am sorry, Daddy will never do this again. To my boss, I am very sorry, this isn’t my kind of person”.

Last year, Mr Jollof had slammed VDM with a lawsuit, regarding a statement that the controversial activist had made against Mr Jollof’s wife. Mr Jollof had demanded an apology and the sum of five hundred million Naira as part of the damages sought in the writ of summons.
Very Dark Man did indeed respond, but not in the manner Mr Jollof would’ve expected. He dived into Mr Jollof’s comment section, and instead of tendering an apology, he proceeded to call him a not-so-smart individual in pidgin English.
When VDM was arrested last year, Jollof expressed his pleasure at his arrest. He shared a video of himself stating that VeryDarkMan had gotten exactly what he deserved. He revealed that VeryDarkMan had been threatening to beat him up whenever he saw him, and then, with God by his side, he was arrested.
