Yinka Theisen has opened up about the reasons behind her decision to end her relationship with Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, the elder brother of Yul Edochie.
She explained on Wednesday through an Instagram post that the breakup was not caused by a lack of love between them but by differences in compatibility and understanding.
According to her, both she and Linc cared about each other but did not share the same approach to life and relationships.
Naijaonpoint reports that Yinka said that she could not remain in a relationship where she would feel silenced or pressured to abandon her presence on social media.
She stated that she values respect in relationships but also expects to be treated with respect and not pushed aside.
“I intend to make a video soon & explain a few things about Lincoln Edochie & I. I hope that after this everyone will keep their mouths shut. Linc is not Yinka and Yinka is not Linc. We have very different ways of looking and doing things. Our issue is not a lack of love. We both love each other. It is about compatibility and understanding.
“The kind of man who will love me is not the kind who wants a mouse for a wife. Certainly not the kind of man who wants me to get off social media. I respect Linc & any man I am with. I have refrained from saying a lot because of the respect I have for him. While I respect my man I am not stupid and not a push over. Enough of the madness,” she wrote.
The engagement between Yinka and Linc was announced in May, but by June she confirmed the relationship had ended.
