Former Big Brother Naija season 10 housemate, Otega, has spoken about his time in the reality show.
The reality TV star cleared up rumours that he cooked in the house as a strategy to win favour with viewers or fellow contestants.
Naijaonpoint reports that the 32-year-old, who was evicted last Sunday alongside Kayinkunmi, explained that his actions were not part of any calculated plan.
Otega, a professional chef, said his approach in the house was simple which is to be true to himself.
He explained that he did not cook every day because winning approval through cooking was never his goal.
Instead, he focused on showing his real personality, shaped by life experiences and maturity.
He described himself as straightforward yet thoughtful, noting that his behaviour in the house reflected who he genuinely is.
According to him, the goal was never to impress others through his cooking skills but to be authentic in all interactions.
He said: “It was never my strategy. My strategy was never to go there and cook for anybody, it was why I was not cooking every day. My strategy was to go there and be myself.
“Myself was what you saw. I am a very blunt person. I also try as much as possible to be wise because with age and life experiences comes wisdom.
“So I was not there to go and cook. I am a chef by profession, so I do not need to cook to get approval.”
