‘I Give Glory To Allah’ – Malami Gives Update On EFCC’s Invitation

Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has confirmed meeting with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a post on his social media pages on Saturday, Malami said his engagement with the anti-corruption agency was successful.

The former Justice Minister, who recently declared his intention to contest for Kebbi State governorship, said he was given an appointment for further engagement.

He described the allegations against him as fabricated.

Malami wrote: “In line with my undertaking to keep Nigerians updated on my invitation by efcc, I give glory to Allah for his divine intervention.

“The engagement was successful and I am eventually released while on an appointment for further engagement as the truth relating to the fabricated allegations against me continue to unfold.”

During his tenure as the nation’s chief law officer, Malami was involved in high-profile legal matters, including asset recovery efforts, anti-corruption reforms, and government decisions that attracted public attention.

He also handled cases related to financial crimes, arbitration disputes, and reforms in governance.

In recent years, he faced scrutiny over matters such as asset declarations and fund management, which he has consistently denied.
