Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has declared herself a prophet.

The movie star made this known on her Instagram page, where she shared a screenshot of a message she received from a therapist who praised her movies for being therapeutic.

In the screenshot, the therapist recounted how she and her eldërly client chose her latest Cinema movie, Iyalode, for a practical session. The woman felt relieved after the movie and enjoyed herself.

Abraham said she doesn’t just shoot movies; she is a prophet who speaks to people through her movies.

“I just don’t shoot movies, I’m a Prophet and I speak and heal people through my Movies.
IYALODE is still showing in cinemas in Nigeria, pls find time to watch and be blessed”.

A few weeks back, Abraham had achieved a new milestone as her latest cinema movie, Alakada Bad and Boujee, gets ranked the 5th highest grossing Nollywood release of all time.

In March, Silverbird honored the actress with a Trailblazer award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year award for being fearless, dynamic and redefining Nollywood

To celebrate her win, Toyin penned a heartfelt note on Instagram, noting how the award is a reminder that hard work, perseverance, and passion never go unnoticed. She noted that the journey hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has shaped her, and every victory has fueled her purpose.

Late last year, while celebrating her latest movie’s Cinema milestone, Toyin stated that beating her record had always been her goal, and she was glad she had achieved it. She noted how many people tried putting down her work, but God showed himself as God.

In a previous post, she made it known that she was her own competition as she expressed gratitude to her fans and everyone who has supported her projects.

The wife of Kolawole Ajeyemi had slammed a fan of Funke Akindele, for putting down her hard work. The actress had shared a throwback photo of her photoshoot for the crew of Ijakumo, and someone had compared it to Funke’s project, questioning why she must always copy her in everything. Replying to him, Toyin expressed how tired she was of people putting down her hard work.
