Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has lashed out at those who are fond of saying they owe nobody anything.
In an Instagram story, she stated that such a mentality is what has gotten us to this level of irresponsibility, broken relationships, and a reckless society.
The controversial movie star admonished her fans and followers not to let anybody lie to them as they owe people respect, empathy, compassion, regard, good character, and accountability.
“I owe nobody this, I owe nobody that.
That’s how we got to this level of irresponsibility, broken relationships, and a reckless society.
Don’t let anybody lie to you.
You owe people respect; you owe people empathy, compassion, regard, good character, and accountability”.

During the weekend, while reacting to Burna Boy and Sophia Egbueje’s Lamborghini brouhaha, Angela slammed the singer for taking advantage of her. The controversial actress questioned how people manage to live without empathy as she noted how public figures are supposed to be a voice for others and are supposed to impact positively.
Despite her controversies, Angela is fond of giving motivational speeches and words of encouragement to her millions of fans. In a New Year message to her fans, the actress and singer told them to spice up their lives irrespective of where they are in life. She admonished them to never give someone the satisfaction of watching them suffer as she stated that one’s greatest investment is in themselves.
Last year, she told her fans to allow people to judge, misunderstand, and gossip about them, and remain kind, and free in their authenticity. She said that the quality of one’s life isn’t determined by the quality of their positive experiences but by their ability to overcome negative experiences.
In a previous post, Okorie had written a message to those who didn’t achieve anything throughout year. She noted how people would share how much they achieved in 2024, however they shouldn’t told feel pressured or like a failure.
