During a gathering at his country home in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who represents Abia North in the National Assembly, met with members of his support organizations, including the Reality Organisation and OUK Movement.
At the meeting, Kalu reviewed the accomplishments of the APC-led federal government, highlighting various national-level initiatives and policies and their impact on the country’s development and citizens’ well-being.
He stressed the importance of continued political engagement and the need for the party to remain resolute in maintaining governance at both state and national levels.
The senator also addressed matters of security and law enforcement, emphasizing the necessity of measures that would enhance public safety and protect citizens in their homes. He highlighted his longstanding advocacy for reforms in the policing system, noting that this has been a consistent focus since his tenure as governor.
Kalu pointed to the broader mandate given to the National Assembly by the president to consider the establishment of state police units as a way to strengthen security across the country.
