Yoruba Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has shared her love story with her husband.
Taking to her Instagram page to share throwback photos of her and her husband, Jinad recounted how her husband first spotted her. She said that from the moment they met, she was always questioning why her husband wouldn’t give her space.
She revealed that her husband hired a photographer to take the above pictures and sent them to her, after which he asked her out. She said she thoroughly vetted him before agreeing, and he jokingly predicted that she would marry him and have his kids, something she found amusing because of her fertility struggles.
“Our love story
Looking at this picture, memories flood my mind of when Daddy Okiki first spotted me. I thought, “Who’s this guy, and why won’t he give me space?” He’d follow me everywhere until it became obvious to everyone. He even hired a photographer to take these pictures and sent them to me. As you can see the big smile on his face.
After he asked me out, I thoroughly vetted him before agreeing. He jokingly predicted, “I’ll marry you, and you’ll bear my children.” I didn’t take the marriage part seriously, but the baby part seemed laughable given my struggles with conceiving.
To be continued”.
Kemi Filani reported in 2023 that Habibat welcomed her second child after waiting for 17 years. The famous Yoruba actress, short of words, promised to share the story as she recounted her miraculous journey.
Her colleague, Biodun Okeowo, even surprised her with a ram for her son’s naming ceremony. Sharing the video online, Jinad expressed her gratitude to Biodun as she noted how she was taken aback by her grand gesture.
In other news, Habibat recounted how Mide Martins once insulted her with her skin colour on a movie set. She revealed that Mide’s words touched her so much that she contemplated bleaching her skin.
Two years back, the Yoruba actress had called out her colleague, Yetunde Bakare for badmouthing her to others and had pleaded with her to allow her to live for the sake of her son. The call-out led to a social media spat as Yetunde debunked her claims, shedding light on their fallout.
