The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that he advised Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to present his Certificate of Return to President Bola Tinubu after winning the state governorship election.
Wike made this known on Wednesday during a media parley with journalists.
According to the minister, he also advised Adeleke to issue a public statement appreciating Tinubu after the election.
Adeleke won the election with 511,067 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.
Following the election, Adeleke presented his Certificate of Return to President Tinubu and Wike.
Wike said, “I told Adeleke to call Mr President and go and present his certificate of return to him, I also told him to make a press statement thanking Mr President after the Osun election.”
