Big Brother Naija former housemate Neo Akpofure has weighed into the debate on men who kneel to propose to their woman.
On the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, the reality star said he will kneel with happiness and a big smile on his face to propose to his woman. He said if that bothers anyone, he prays they don’t heal from the headache it will cause them.
“If you like, don’t kneel to ask your woman to marry you, that’s for you, me. I will kneel with happiness and a big smile on my face, and if that bothers you, I pray you don’t heal from that headache it causes you”.
In a past post, Neo advised Nigerians not to let go of their person when they find them.
Neo was in a relationship with his BBNaija colleague, Beauty. The two first made headlines in July 2023 when they were spotted leaving a hotel. Beauty’s friend and colleague, Doyin, confirmed the rumors as true. Unfortunately, just like many Big Brother Naija relationships, theirs didn’t last as in October, the lovebirds had unfollowed each other on social media.
Neo was also in a relationship with his co-star, Vee Iye, but they broke up around 2022. According to reports, Vee Iye’s issue with his cousin, Venita Akpofure was one of the many reasons why they broke up.
Opening up about their breakup in an interview, Vee revealed that she and Neo ended amicably without any drama. According to her, their relationship was good till things turned sour, and then they decided to pathways, and admitted that she was hurt over their break-up as she never thought that it would badly affect her.
In another interview, Vee revealed how Tolanibaj played a role in their breakup. She noted how many made her feel like she was overreacting to Tbaj, who had an interest in Neo but was pretending. Vee stated that their breakup wasn’t dealt with the right way and a lot was swept under the carpet. However, she felt good to know that she was right about Tbaj’s interest in Neo.
