Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has issued a warning for the New Year.
On her Facebook page and Instagram story, the movie star made it known that she will not associate with or promote anyone who aligns with platforms that are hostile or disrespectful towards her, God, or her pastor.
She made it known that she would be intentional about the brands and individuals she chooses to support. Dikeh said that respect is non-negotiable and wouldn’t be contributing to the growth of any brand that doesn’t value, honour, or protect her person and work.
“This year, I will be very intentional about the brands and individuals I choose to support. I will not associate with or promote anyone who aligns with people or platforms that are hostile or disrespectful toward me, God of my Pastor.
Respect is non-negotiable. I will not contribute to the growth of any brand that doesn’t value, honour, or protect my person and my work.
Before approaching me for promotional support, please be guided. Take a moment to reflect and ask yourself:
Have I genuinely supported her, and do I accept this request?
Additionally, unless we share a close personal relationship, which is very rare, please do not extend event invitations without first acknowledging and discussing my appearance fee with my management. (I don’t talk business personally). I do not make appearances, casually, even for acquaintances, and certainly not without clear professional terms”.
In an Instagram post, Dikeh, made a clarion call to Christians on the need to deepen their prayer life. She admonished the public to open their heart to receive a miracle. Dikeh added that she is fighting for her life, her destiny, her child, and her generation.
Laat year, Tonto shared a testimony on her healing from addiction and masturbation. She revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13 due to her father’s influence and smoked for 27 years before the addiction was completely broken. She also revealed that she struggled with alcoholism, and battled masturbation.
Following her testimony, Dikeh reintroduced herself to the world, revealing that she is a living testimony of mercy as she is among those whom God spared, restored, and commissioned. She said God looked at her mess and spoke destiny into her.
Before her testimony, Dikeh had reflected on her past life, noting how she went from being a mess to becoming a message. Expressing gratitude to her Maker, she said that where God brought her from, no human should be there.
