Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho is gearing up for another goal-scoring performance as he prepares to face compatriot Sadiq Umar’s Real Sociedad, Soccernet.ng reports.
The striker, who picked up momentum after a slow start by scoring twice in Sevilla’s recent 3-0 Copa del Rey victory over Las Rozas CF, is eager to add to his tally in the upcoming clash.
Reflecting on his impressive performance against Las Rozas, where he netted his first two goals for Sevilla FC, Iheanacho expressed hope for more.
“Hopefully, there are more goals to come, and hopefully, Sevilla will be in the top six of La Liga by the end of the season.” Iheanacho stated.
With Sevilla set to face Real Sociedad at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium on Sunday, Iheanacho is focused on another chance to shine and contribute to Sevilla’s La Liga climb.
“I will be really happy to play in our stadium again,” he added. “We have amazing fans, and they always support the team no matter what. Hopefully, I get a chance to play there, and hopefully, they will come out, support the team, and we win the game.”
Since joining Sevilla, the former Manchester City and Leicester City forward has scored two goals this season in his six appearances for the club.
