In a statement issued by Hon. Osakwe Abiazie Modestus, the Commissioner for He said while recognizing the concerns of residents, particularly those in boundary communities, the state government has reinforced security structures, ensuring that Imo State remains impenetrable to criminal infiltration. Osakwe noted that patrols, checkpoints, and community-based intelligence efforts have been strengthened to guarantee the safety of all law-abiding citizens The statement partly reads, “The Imo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, remains unwavering in its commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of all residents. Over the years, the administration has demonstrated proactive measures in addressing security challenges, ensuring peace, and promoting stability across the state. In light of recent security operations in neighboring states targeting kidnappers, bandits, drug dealers, internet fraudsters, and witch doctors who aid criminal activities through the notorious Oke-ite and other charms, the Government of Imo State is taking decisive steps to prevent any spillover of criminal elements into our communities. “The Ministry of Homeland Security and Vigilante Affairs, in collaboration with security agencies, has intensified surveillance and intelligence gathering across all border communities to forestall any potential security breaches. Recognizing the concerns of residents, particularly those in boundary communities, the government has reinforced security structures, ensuring that Imo State remains impenetrable to criminal infiltration.
