Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has regained freedom after meeting his bail condition.
NaijaOnPoint.com.ng(NOP) had earlier reported that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) arraigned the social media critic hours after detaining him for alleged impersonation on Friday.
Following his arraignment, the social media influencer was granted bail in the sum of N2 million with two sureties, each required to post an equivalent amount.
The court also ordered the fitness expert to deposit his international passports and any other means of identification.
VeryDarkMan’s arraingnment comes shortly after he publicly apologized to the force for using its uniform, emphasizing that he didn’t intend to impersonate the law enforcement agency.
In reaction, the police said it would launch an investigation to determine the source of the police gear used and the authority under which the activist acted.
