From 4th to 10th September 2025, more than 35,000 delegates and 2,000 exhibitors from across 140 countries converged in Algeria’s capital, Algiers, for the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025).
Convened by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, IATF 2025 brought together continental and global players to showcase and exhibit their goods and services and to explore business and investment opportunities in Africa.
The event served as a valuable platform for businesses to access an integrated African market with a GDP of over US$3.5 trillion created under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
There were high-level negotiations to accelerate Africa’s integration and economic transformation under the AfCFTA.
The fair had in attendance President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria alongside former Nigerian President and IATF Advisory Council Chair, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and Mahamadou Issoufou, former President of Niger, among others.
Afreximbank President Prof. Benedict Oramah, AfCFTA Secretary-General Wamkele Mene, and African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf were part of the high-level presence in Algiers.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, led the Nigerian delegation to the continental event.
Nigeria will host the fifth edition of the IATF in 2027.
