After the match, captain Rohit said that the target that the team got was not very big but the wicket had become a bit challenging in the second innings. The way Team India lost wickets, the captain described it as disappointing and said that everyone has been playing on such wickets and the players should give themselves a chance.

Opening batting Rohit further said, it was necessary that a batsman should last till the end. Everyone was trying to do their best but it did not happen. We have played nine ODIs since January, we can take a lot of positive things from them. It is not the defeat of any one but of the whole team.

The defeat of the whole team, not of any one player

Rohit refused to put the responsibility of defeat on any one player. He said that he cannot blame any one or two players for the defeat because this defeat belongs to the whole team. Team India has to play the World Cup in similar conditions in the next five months, for which it is important that the team takes care of all the shortcomings.
