REPORTS out of Italy today suggested that Inter Milan are planning to improve their offer for Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Inter are expected to send an raised bid to sign Lookman from Atalanta, who have placed a €50m price tag on him.
Inter are expected to continue talks with Atalanta for Lookman, and according to Gazzetta, the Serie A giants are likely to send an improved bid for the Nigeria international.
Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to continue today after Inter Milan reached an agreement on personal terms with the latest African Player of the Year.
According to Gazzetta, Inter have sent an offer to sign Lookman on loan with an obligation to buy, but their Serie A rivals aim for a permanent sale for €50m.
Football Italia believes an agreement could be reached for €45m including add-ons, but Inter have yet to make an improved bid for Lookman.
The 27-year-old joined Atalanta from RB Leipzieg for around €11m in August 2022 and his current contract expires in June 2027.
He has scored 52 goals and made 25 assists in 118 appearances, including a historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final in 2024.
