Die-hard fans of Invincible won’t have to wait until season 4 arrives to enjoy a new adventure set in the same universe. Following the conclusion of the destructive Invincible War in season 3, Prime Video’s Invincible season 4 promises to raise the stakes even higher with the explosive Viltrumite War and the long-awaited confrontation between Mark Grayson and Omni-Man. Naturally, anticipation is rising.
As Invincible season 4 moves forward in production, fans can create their own stories in the Invincible universe with Free League’s Invincible Superhero Roleplaying game, available to order on Kickstarter. As of this article’s publication, the project has more than surprised its $53,503 goal with over $273,000 pledged. With one starter set and multiple available bundles, Invincible fans have plenty of options to get started crafting their own adventures.
The Invincible Universe Provides The Ideal Background For Roleplaying
The Invincible Franchise Itself Is An Original Twist On Other Famous Superhero Stories
The Invincible universe is a perfect sandbox for Dungeons & Dragons–style roleplaying. Much like a DnD campaign, Invincible adapts all the over-the-top lore, violent battles, and moral dilemmas of franchises like DC and Marvel into its own continuity. Heroes range all the way from street-level vigilantes to planet-shattering gods, all tangled in rivalries, alliances, and betrayals.
The Invincible Superhero Roleplaying game starter set comes with a large map, engraved dice, character sheets, reference sheets, initiative cards, social scene cards, an adventure booklet, and a rules booklet. Players are able to create their own Invincible character and choose their powers, combat style, backstory, and adversaries. A core rulebook that dives deeper into the game’s mechanics and the Invincible lore is also available.
A player could design a new, ultra-powerful Viltrumite whose loyalty to the empire is questioned after bonding with humans, or an underpowered Unopan forced to rely on strategy and political leverage instead of strength. Not all creations need to be characters as powerful as Battle Beast to play an important role in the story.
Invincible Fans Have A Lot To Look Forward To
The Invincible Franchise Continues To Expand
Once Invincible season 4 arrives, fans will be able to compare Prime Video’s adaptation of some of the franchise’s most important moments with the source material. Mark’s truce and the Viltrumites’ integration on Earth may not be as action-fueled as previous conflicts, but it’s certainly a game-changing event for Mark’s two worlds. Which details will be changed in the animated adaptation are yet to be seen.
Parallel to the Invincible Superhero Roleplaying game, Image Comics will release two new Invincible compendiums based on Wolf-Man and Tech Jacket, both arriving on November 19, 2025. Meanwhile, the OverPower collectible card game is adding an Invincible expansion. Skybound Games is also working on Invincible VS, a tag-team fighting video game set to release in 2026. Clearly, Invincible‘s popularity is far from reaching its peak.
