New Delhi. Lucknow Super Giants made a great start to their campaign in IPL 2023 by defeating Delhi Capitals. Won by 50 runs from Lucknow. Batting first, KL Rahul’s Lucknow scored 193 runs for 6 wickets. Kyle Meyers scored the highest 73 runs, while Nicholas Pooran scored 36 runs. Chasing the target, the Delhi team was able to score only 143 runs in 20 overs. Captain David Warner scored the maximum 56 runs for Delhi.

Wood took 5 big wickets for 14 runs. Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan, Akshar Patel, Chetan Sakaria became victims of Wood. Only 4 Delhi batsmen were able to cross double figures.
