Ace Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, has raised concerns about the outfit of Nigerian singer, Davido, during his visit to the Olu of Warri, in Delta State.
Naijaonpoint reports that Davido was in Warri on Saturday for a performance and visited the king before his performance.
In the photos from the visit shared online, the ‘Unavailable’ crooner was captured wearing a white polo and brown shorts.
Sharing the photo on his Facebook page, Doyle, who hails from Itsekiri in Delta State, wondered if Davido’s outfit to see the king was appropriate.
He captioned the photo: “Is this appropriate dressing to visit the Palace of a king the calibre of the Olu of Warri?”
Meanwhile, Davido, while speaking at the Olu’s palace, clarified that he is from a respectful family, contrary to what many people think.
He explained that his occasional misdemeanours as a celebrity does not mean he didn’t have a proper upbringing.
He said, “I was brought up by great parents. I come from a very respectful family but sometimes, as OBO [star], I may act out of place.”
Naijaonpoint recalls that Wizkid had shaded Davido’s family last week, claiming that the ‘OBO’ crooner wasn’t raised well.
“When u see people wey dem papa and family train, u go know! U don’t see my uncle dancing online!” Wizkid wrote on his X handle, alluding to Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is known as the ‘Dancing Governor’ because of his numerous dance videos online
