The IRIB broadcaster reported that there have been “multiple explosions heard in Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan”. The latest strikes are now seen as Israel’s response to Iran’s missile attack on the Jewish nation late Sunday.
Earlier, Iran launched 10 ballistic missiles on northern Israel. The Iranian authorities described it as retaliation for Israel’s constant attacks on Southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire in place. This was the first time Iran directly attacked Israel since agreeing to a truce with the United States. The latest clashes have now taken a major toll on the peace efforts.
