BBNaija alum Kim Oprah had some tales to tell about her experience in Kenya, with their immigration office, and according to her, it wasn’t a good experience.

She started off by saying that she had arrived Kenya during a layover, and immigration stopped her from entering, stating that she would have to do an ETA visa on arrival before she could proceed.

Kim Oprah said that she already had a second citizenship, which should normally allow her visa-free entry into some African countries, both Kenya and Tanzania included.

However, the Kenyan immigration authority were persistent that she should use her Nigerian passport instead, and get a visa.

Kim Oprah said that immigration office had told her that African nationals from other countries were using the whole visa-free ruse to commit fraudulent activities, so that is why they insist that everyone should get a visa.

She went on to say that it was after she applied for a visa on arrival that she got permission to enter Kenya freely.

According to Kim Oprah, the whole interaction was like a hassle, and it left a sour taste in her mouth.

Netizens weren’t sympathetic or empathetic towards Kim Oprah’s experience, as they took to the comments to throw jabs at her for not observing due diligence before traveling.
