Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, security analyst Promise Dappa has warned that Iran’s missile capabilities remain unexpectedly robust, suggesting that a major global power could be secretly backing Tehran. Watch This Now.
His comments, made during an interview with Channels TV, raise serious concerns about the potential escalation of the conflict involving the United States and Israel.
Dappa said, “It appears that someone is providing support to Iran. They are enhancing their durability. Their ability to fire missiles has not lessened — which goes against our expectations that by now their missile launch capability would have been entirely shut down or greatly reduced. Iran still demonstrates a noteworthy ability to launch missiles throughout the Middle East at Israel, inflicting considerable damage.”
He cautioned that Russia might be supplying ballistic missiles and drones to Iran, warning that this could turn the situation into a prolonged conflict similar to Ukraine, where what was expected to be a short operation extended into years once NATO became involved.
If these reports are accurate, Dappa said, the war in the Middle East could drag on far longer than initially anticipated, fueled by steady external support for Iran’s military operations. Analysts say such backing would significantly complicate regional security and prolong civilian suffering.
What do you think? Could outside support for Iran make this conflict much longer and deadlier?
