Nollywood actor Kunle Afod is still grieving the loss of his colleague, Aunty Ajara.
Kemi Filani reported on Thursday, February 5th, that the actress passed away after a long and courageous battle with illness.
The movie star was immediately buried in line with Islamic customs. In clips that went viral, she was wrapped in white fabric, covered with a mat, and then lowered into the grave.
A week after her burial, her family and friends are set to hold an 8-day fidau for her on Thursday, February 2nd. According to ...er, the actress was 27 years old at the time of her death.
Reacting to it, Kunle said her death feels unreal and promised that she will forever remain in their hearts.

Sometimes back, Kunle spoke about his passion for supporting veterans in the Nigerian film industry. He said helping them brings him joy, noting that we would all reach that position someday. Kunle said the legacy for the younger ones is the mark he is laying, and he prayed for those who have been financially contributing to help them.
Over the past few years, Kunle Afod has won the hearts of many with his constant love and support for Nollywood veterans.
Last year, he had raised over N600,000 for veteran Baba Ariyo after visiting his house, where he has been a tenant for 40 years. He had shared a depressing video of the pøor state of the veteran, which left him heartbroken.
He had paid a condolence visit to his senior colleague, Pa Tunbosun Odunsi, following the loss of his wife. On his Instagram page, he shared a video of the emotional visit to Ibadan, which left many in tears. See the video below.
In 2024, Afod was left in awe after visiting veteran actor Charles Olumo, before his death. He revealed that he visited the veteran to check up on him, and was surprised to see him in great spirits, even going as far as jumping. Impressed, Kunle prayed that he experience such grace.
The Yoruba actor made a passionate appeal to his colleagues over veteran Iya Niwen after he visited her in Ibadan. He expressed his excitement to finally meet her as he appealed to his colleagues to help bring her back on a movie set.
He had also paid a surprise visit to Lere Paimo, also known as Eda Onile Ola, as he expressed how excited he was visiting the veteran’s home for the first time. He had called for help for the veteran, and to his surprise, many Nigerians responded and donated cash gifts to the actor.
