Bala recalled that the attack began around 2:30 a.m., when the gunmen arrived under cover of darkness. They spent nearly 30 minutes breaking through the wall of his house before gaining access — a slow, deliberate act that left the family trapped and panicked.
Once inside, the attackers spent over an hour trying to force open doors to other parts of the residence. During this tense period, Bala managed to make several calls to alert neighbors and the Joint Task Force, begging for urgent help as the nightmare unfolded.
Despite the warnings, the bandits eventually overpowered the defenses and abducted women and children from Bala’s household, leaving the community in fear and outrage. Residents, together with security operatives, immediately pursued the attackers, eventually capturing one of the suspects.
Bala described the terrifying ordeal in his own words: “What transpired yesterday around 2:30 a.m., bandits broke into my house. They broke the wall and entered the house. When they entered, it took at least 30 minutes before they broke the wall.”
