Nigerian influencer Laura Ikeji is reliving her past as she joins the trending 2016 challenge.

From celebrities to friends, social media users have been describing 2026 as the new 2016 with their posts.
Not one to miss out on such a trend, Laura, who topped headlines at the time as the younger sister of famous blogger Linda Ikeji, shared some cute throwback photos.
Laura noted how 2016 was her year as she was on fire and everything aligned with her. She noted that that year she got several endorsements, money, a a house, got engaged, made lots of friends, started her business, had a closet full of clothes, and became famous via Instagram.
The now-mother of three said everything was so good, life was lighter, and laughter was louder.

After attending the 2025 AMVCA, Laura had thrown shots at celebrities as she shared the deep meaning behind her outfit. The sister of Linda Ikeji noted how less is really more, as she revealed that she and her team wanted minimal drama, clean, classy, and realistic. She said she wanted a dress to walk the red carpet in and not look different from her pictures.
In a different news, Laura shared some insights on what it felt like to be a parent taking care of a little baby. She revealed that her and her husband , do not sleep until 3-4am every single day because they both take turns in caring for their new baby.
