Legendary singer 2face, otherwise known as 2baba, has addressed his never-ending drama with his former labelmate, Blackface.

In an interview with Nedu, 2baba noted how he has never stopped showing respect to Blackface, yet he keeps smearing his name. He described most of his former labelmate’s accusations as absurd and ridiculous and admitted that they are painful.

2baba said that he still questions why Blackface is constantly attacking him, as he revealed that he wrote most of the popular hit song “African Queen.”

“It was a collaboration. I wrote most of the song, actually, but we wrote it together.

I’m not somebody who comes and starts dragging words. I don’t know what his intentions were, and I don’t know what I have ever done to him.

I’ve always shown him respect, but he has always been out there to smear my name. They are absurd, ridiculous and very painful at times. And, till today, I just wonder why? That’s the only thing I have in my head.

What’s the reason, it’s just ridiculous“.

Blackface was the former bandmate of 2face when they were in the defunct group, Plantashun Boiz, which brought 2face now known as 2baba into the limelight.

Following their split, Blackface had accused 2Face of stealing his songs including the monster hit “African Queen”.

2face had even filed an N50 million defamatory lawsuit against him, which he later withdrew for the two to settle out of court.

The two later reunited at their alma mater event in Makurdi, where they thrilled fellow old students.

In 2023, Blackface reopened his beef with 2baba, as he accused him of using diabolic means to end his life and career.
