The Brave and The Bold movie gets a big update about its DC Universe release date from James Gunn. Bruce Wayne is one of the many heroes who will be getting his due in the DCU’s Chapter 1: “Gods and Monsters” slate, as a reboot is in the works for the beloved superhero.
The project has been in the works since it was announced in January 2023, as it will focus on an established iteration of the Caped Crusader in Gunn’s new comic book franchise. However, many are wondering when the film is actually set to be released in theaters.
As Gunn was asked on Threads by a user, “People are saying batman the brave and the bold could release around 2030-2031, are you looking for a release date as late as that,” the DC Studios co-CEO set the record straight with the following update:
While keeping it short and sweet, the Superman director said “No,” as there have been no reports about when the film is set to be released. As of right now, the DC story is still being worked on by a writer – although it’s unknown who is writing the script – with director Andy Muschietti attached to helm.
