Klay Thompson hit the court on Wednesday with a career-low scoring average.
Averaging just 7.4 points per game and shooting 31.4% from the field, including 26.7% from three, the normally sharpshooting star has left many fans puzzled.
Former NBA standout Jason Williams thinks Thompson’s poor performance is connected to his new relationship with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
“I’m from West Virginia, man. I’ve been taught a lot from old folks,” Williams said on the Hoopin’ N Hollering podcast. “It only takes one p—y to drag a battleship across the desert. That’s how powerful it is.”

Thompson, 34, has been romantically linked to Grammy-winning rap superstar Megan Thee Stallion since July. The couple publicly confirmed their relationship when they appeared together at Megan’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall, marking their first red-carpet moment as a couple.
Despite Shaquille O’Neal joking that the romance wouldn’t last six weeks, Klay and Megan seem closer than ever.
Just two weeks ago, Megan was spotted courtside cheering on Thompson during the Mavericks’ game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Around the same time, she posted an Instagram photo featuring a house key…sparking speculation that the pair may have taken the next step and moved in together.
“Klay Thompson, I ain’t saying it is what it is,” Williams added. “But that might be what it is.”
