On the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden reacted to Drake suing UMG for defamation over his rap battle with Compton rapper and labelmate Kendrick Lamar.
“I’m sad, I’m hurt, I’m disappointed. Shot through the heart, I love this sh-t too much, man,” said Budden.
The retired rapper also says that since Drizzy took legal action, none of his old bars hit the same.
“He’s stepping on his own dope,” he added.
When Drake first filed the petition against UMG and Spotify, Budden alleged that the Canadian rapper had been doing people dirty for years behind the scenes.

“You’ve been behind the scenes being the biggest sack of sh-t you can possibly be,” he said. “I’m not here to f-cking play games with you n-ggas. N-ggas know what it is out there. That’s it. And he’s f-cking white. And he’s Jewish. And he had too much dip on his chip. You have been behind the scenes hitting n-gga’s baby moms, sending money… Yo dog, you’ve been sending messages to this n-gga’s wife, talking sh-t about f-cking, ‘Ayy, but this n-gga’s mom died, that’s cool but where my beat at, n-gga? I don’t give a f-ck that your mom died.”
