Joe Budden is speaking on Lil Wayne’s recent interview where the Louisiana rapper addressed Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance.
Lil Wayne said he had no beef with Kendrick Lamar and that they spoke on the phone before the Compton rapper dropped “wacced out murals.”
“That was my first time hearing it. I think he’s a fan like I’m a fan of his music. I think he meant he saw what everyone else saw, he saw how much it meant to me,” he told Skip Bayless, adding that K.Dot “didn’t let him down.”

According to Budden, Lil Wayne’s outburst on Twitter after GNX dropped made sense.
“I don’t want to break any walls here but I mean, he left a small part out of that. He did speak to him, says Budden, confirming it was before Dot dropped his GNX album, “and then he started tweeting. Which would make somebody say, ‘N-gga didn’t we just talk?’” he said.
Weezy reportedly recorded a diss track in response but is yet to release the track.
