Rumors have been swirling online this month that Marvel is considering bringing Jonathan Majors back to the MCU to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror.
Marvel has quickly shut those rumors down, telling TMZ that Majors “has not engaged in any talks to return to the MCU.”
Majors appeared as Kang the Conqueror in the season finale of Loki Season 1 on Disney+ and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He was expected to be a major part of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. Kang was set to appear in both Loki Season 2 and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
On March 26, 2023, Majors was arrested in New York City for allegedly beating up his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
While Jonathan has maintained his innocence, he was found guilty and was quickly dropped by the film studio.
Jabbari celebrated the legal win.
“Her unwavering resolve to see this case through to the end is borne out of a desire to show other survivors and victims of domestic violence, that they too, can hold their abuser accountable,” she said in a statement.
