Colombian Vice President, Francia Márquez, has arrived in the country.
The Colombian leader was welcomed to the country at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Her visit, scheduled from August 30 to September 2, 2025, was earlier confirmed by Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, who disclosed on X that the engagements aim to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between both nations.
According to Shettima, discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, agriculture, education, energy, culture, and women’s empowerment, with the broader goal of deepening South-South collaboration.
Márquez is Colombia’s first Black Vice President.
