President Bola Tinubu departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Friday afternoon for a condolence visit to Kano State.

The President was seen off at the airport by a host of dignitaries and government officials, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

As earlier reported by Naijaonpoint, President Tinubu is visiting Kano to commiserate with the family of late elder statesman and renowned businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.

This was confirmed in a statement by presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.

He recalled that President Tinubu was out of the country at the time of Dantata’s passing but directed some of his ministers, led by Defence Minister, to attend the burial in Saudi Arabia as a mark of honour for the late nonagenarian.

It would be recalled that the billionaire and philanthropist passed away at the age of 94 on Saturday, June 28.

During the visit, Tinubu is expected to personally condole with Dantata’s relatives and also express his sympathies to the Kano State Government and the people of the state.
