A devastating fire has engulfed Focus Holiday Inn, a prominent hotel located in the Garki area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
According to a hotel staff member, the fire broke out around 3 a.m., with the alarm first raised by a guest who rushed to the reception unclothed to alert workers about the incident.
The blaze, which originated in one section of the three-story building, quickly spread to other parts, causing extensive damage, according to Premium Times.
Despite multiple calls to the fire service, initial attempts to reach them were unsuccessful. However, as of the time of this report, fire service officials had arrived at the scene and were working to contain the fire.
