Hajiya Aisha Mamma, mother of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has died.

The deceased, also known as Hajja Mamma, passed away on Monday morning at the age of 86.

She was also the mother of the Emir of Fufore in Adamawa State, HRH Sani Ribadu.

Among the first prominent Nigerians to visit the family and pay condolences was Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani).

Speaking during her condolence visit, Binani described the late Hajiya Aisha as a “mother to all,” whose wisdom, prayers and guidance extended beyond her immediate family to the wider community.

“We have lost a pillar of strength,” Binani said.

Her life was a testament to the virtues of patience, humility and devotion.

“While we grieve with the Emir and the NSA, we take solace in the exemplary life she lived and the giants she raised for our state and nation.

Funeral rites were conducted in accordance with Islamic tradition, attracting a large crowd of mourners.

The gathering included high-ranking government officials, security chiefs and traditional rulers from across the North-East, who converged to honour the memory of the late matriarch and commiserate with the Ribadu family.
