PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced ...ponement of its planned screening for aspirants ahead of the party’s 2025 National Convention.

This announcement was made known to the public in a statement issued on Monday, October 27, by Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa State.

Fintiri said the screening, earlier scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 28, has been put on hold by the National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) of the PDP.

According to the governor, the decision of the committee follows some unforeseen circumstances beyond the party’s control.

He said, “A new date will be communicated once fixed. The NCOC regrets any inconvenience caused by ...ponement. All Aspirants and members of our Party should note the foregoing and be guided accordingly.

“The NCOC remains committed to delivering a credible, hitch-free 2025 Elective National Convention on Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November 2025 in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital,” Fintiri stated.

Recall that the screening process, scheduled by the party, was planned for all individuals aspiring for national offices in the PDP’s Elective National Convention.

Members of the screening committee, led Eyitayo Jegede (chairman) and Mohammed Diri (Deputy Chairman) were also saddled with the responsibility of conducting the screening process through strict adherence to the party’s rules and regulations.

Fintiri, while approving the committee, said the assignment will serve as a crucial opportunity for its members to justify the confidence reposed in them by the party and its leadership.
