JUST in: Sit-at-home: Shootings in Enugu as gunmen attack New Market, burn police van

There was heavy shootings in Enugu early Saturday morning as hoodlums enforcing 5 days the sit-at-home attacked the New Market area of Enugu capital city.

Eye witness day the gunmen numbering over 10 stormed the area as early as 6:am Saturday and stared shooting scaring people away.

A police van was also set ablaze in from of the Colliery hospital at New Market.

No casualty has been reported as at the time of this report just as police is yet to make a statement on the incident.

EverydayNewsngr.net reports that the attack is a deliberate effort to scare the people and force them to obey the 5 days sit-at-home order being forced by Simon Ekpa.

The sit-at-home which was supposed to commenced Friday was not obeyed throughout South East.
