President Bola Tinubu on Friday, September 26, reunited with prominent political figures during the coronation of Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja as the new Olubadan of Ibadan.
The event, held at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, Oyo State, drew a large gathering of dignitaries and traditional leaders. Among those who exchanged pleasantries with the president were former Kano governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; former Osun governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola; and former Ogun governor, Ibikunle Amosun.
A short video of the encounter, shared by presidential aide Dada Olusegun on X (formerly Twitter), showed Tinubu in a warm handshake with Kwankwaso, who contested against him in the 2023 general election. Kwankwaso, running on the NNPP platform, finished fourth in that poll with 6.23 percent of the vote.
