JUST IN: Tinubu presides over FEC meeting, inaugurates Law Reform Commission members

President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, inaugurated members of the Nigeria Law Reforms Commission (NLRC) shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The two members sworn in were Professor Dakas CJ Dakas, who will serve as Chairman of the commission, and Dr Uchenna Eugene, Commissioner.

During the FEC meeting, presided over by Tinubu, the council observed a minute’s silence in honour of former Minister of Agriculture and one-time National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Audu Ogbeh.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, described the late Ogbeh as a patriotic Nigerian.

In attendance at the council chambers were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Dr Esther Didi Walson-Jack, National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, along with ministers and heads of relevant ministries scheduled to make presentations at the meeting.
