Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja, Nigeria, for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Naijaonpoint reports that Shettima is attending the 2026 African Union (AU) Summit on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Summit, themed “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063,” centers on strengthening commitments across the continent for sustainable water management and enhanced sanitation infrastructure. This is in line with the broader development objectives outlined in the AU’s Agenda 2063 plan.
