A private jet operated by Flybird yesterday made an emergency landing at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA),  after its nose wheel collapsed on touchdown.

The aircraft experienced a nose wheel collapse during landing at MAKIA, a source at the airport revealed.

All passengers and crew were evacuated safely, and no casualties were recorded.

Emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the scene to secure the aircraft and prevent any disruption to airport operations.

Rescue and firefighting personnel responded swiftly in line with standard operating procedures and the situation was brought under control within a short time, another airport official explained.

The aircraft has since been removed from the runway and moved to a designated area for repairs, allowing normal flight operations at the airport to resume.

As of the time of this report, Flybird has not issued an official statement on the incident, while aviation authorities continue preliminary assessments of the aircraft.
