MUHAMMADU BUHARI

THE Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda, has declared today, July 14, 2025, a work-free day across the state to mourn the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The announcement was made in a statement issued yesterday by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Faskari.

According to the statement, the public holiday is intended to give residents of Buhari’s home state the opportunity to grieve alongside the rest of the nation and offer prayers for the late leader.

Governor Radda extended his deepest condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina, and all Nigerians, describing the former president as a statesman, patriot, and democrat who dedicated his life to national service.

He also offered prayers for the repose of Buhari’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

Further details regarding the burial arrangements, the statement added, will be communicated in due course.
