Kebbi Governor Approves Creation of Four New Villages, Appoints New District Head

The Kebbi State Government has approved the appointment of Sanusi Muhammad Toga as the District Head of Sarkin Yamman Gwazange, alongside the creation of four new villages in the Argungu Local Government Area.

The announcement was made on Friday in Birnin Kebbi by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Garba Umar Dutsin-Mari, who said the move followed a resolution by the Argungu Local Government Council in line with the Kebbi State Local Government Law of 2008.

The newly established villages are Sarkin Yamman, Magaji Bela, Ubandawakin Wali, and Darakwai. According to the commissioner, the new district was carved out of the Baraje District to improve local administration and bring governance closer to the people.

Dutsin-Mari called on the newly appointed district head to uphold justice, foster peace, and promote development in his domain.
