Kelly Osbourne is speaking out after her appearance at the Brit Awards sparked online commentary about her looks.
Osbourne attended the ceremony in Manchester on Feb. 28 alongside her mother, Sharon Osbourne, to honor her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, who was recognized with a lifetime achievement award.
After photos from the event circulated, some social media users began discussing Osbourne’s appearance. She responded on Instagram Stories, addressing what she described as “a special kind of cruelty.”
I’m not the type that likes picking on one’s physical appearance but this is really not it. I’m genuinely concerned for Kelly Osbourne. #Brits pic.twitter.com/YkJvZQhQyP

“There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,” Osbourne wrote. “Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.”
She continued, “I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way.”
Osbourne previously shared that she has been unwell following her father’s death in July 2025. “I don’t understand how people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not,” she wrote in an earlier post.
